I didn't have much a gaming idea that morning, but was sitting there wondering about other's habits about blogging.Gothridge Manorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11371740532802642972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954394848487110923.post-25048839355894727052010-01-09T09:04:55.967-05:002010-01-09T09:04:55.967-05:00I tend to read the blogs in the morning when I get...I tend to read the blogs in the morning when I get up, and occasionally throughout the day as work allows. I, too, troll the various blog lists on the side of each blog I read regularly, looking for interesting titles to check out. Most of my comments tend to be done in the evening (where I check out any updates that I may have missed). When I write, it tends to be in the evening, when I have the most time, but I've been known to post a small topic at other times as the mood and opportunity hits.

Hope This Helps,
FlynnFlynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05661073420680953560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954394848487110923.post-80708869617854838952010-01-08T13:10:32.510-05:002010-01-08T13:10:32.510-05:00> warm smile < :D

I comment less than I did even 6 months ago and usually comment to express appreciation rather than disagreement.

As far as topics go, much of what I post is driven by my own gaming. However, I do try to mix up the topics between house rules (so long as I can express them simply), ideas, new critters, and haiku.Rustyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01786312855250456688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954394848487110923.post-10926828554269483632010-01-08T09:42:43.468-05:002010-01-08T09:42:43.468-05:00My habits are quite similar to yours, I could in ...My habits are quite similar to yours, I could in many ways copy and paste it as an entry on my blog.

As for why I post on some and not others, it comes to one reason.

How much time do I have right at the moment I read it to write the comment I want to write. I'm just the type that if I want technical I'll read one of the rule books. It is nothing against blogs that do that, as they seem to be much more popular than my blog, so they must be doing something right. They just aren't my cup of tea.Geek Gazettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11041253917215490424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954394848487110923.post-45809393931300228112010-01-08T08:40:21.857-05:002010-01-08T08:40:21.857-05:00My blogging habits are very similar to your and I ...My blogging habits are very similar to your and I agree that getting comments, even negative ones does help to motivate me. As for which blogs I decide to comment on it varies. Usually the ones I tend to notice are ones that have a post about a particular game I'm interested in or like this one a topic that catches my eye. I'm not a 4e player so I usually skip those. I'm not an old school player so those often hold little interest for me. Honestly my least favorite posts are about rules, and world building I don't know why but I just don't enjoy reading those. The more "technical" the less interesting for me.
Posts about gaming habits, product reviews, favorite/least favorite lists, industry news, and opinion pieces tend to be my most frequented posts on other sites. Your post is a good example. Looking on my Yahoo front page, I have the RPGBN feed at the top for easy access, the first post I noticed was this one. I immediately clicked on it and here I am. You were the first RPGBN post I read this morning.Geek Gazettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11041253917215490424noreply@blogger.com
