Final Edits for Blackmarsh...Done

Edits for Rob Conley's, Blackmarsh project for Brave Halfling Publishing'a Delving Deeper Box Set is done.  Last night Rob and I did a final read through.  It took a couple of hours, but we got it done and I think Rob has another fantastic land to share with everyone.  The final read through is done out loud.  I read the manuscript and this way we catch small typos and find a few sentences that can be tweaked, switched around or explain an idea better.  After working on a project for a while its good to smack it on the ass and send it out the door.

  3. LOL, sounds like my house. My wife got cranky with me today because I've been distracted from my chores this week by editing and proofreading.

Tim, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who reads out loud when doing the final edit/proof. It definitely helps to do the job better.

  4. Oh, no, I'm not cranky. I was jacking his wires. Plus, I'm the one that broke it. Again. Lots of times, actually.

  6. Reading out loud is an amazingly good way to do edits.

BTW, we need to keep @thePrincessWife away from this whole screen door discussion. She loves the demolition process and watching me try to rebuild... we're still working on a bathroom - and yet I have more DBA stands to paint... so shhhhh...

  7. Awesome, I'm looking forward to this release very much! Ivy, I'm sure Daisey can sympathize. I've been at the drawing board... er dining room table every night for months trying to get art work done for a whole slew of OSR projects. I think she's going to kill me if I take one more commission this year ;).

  8. Glad to read posts focusing on quality assurance and editing before publication. It seems that all too often, products get rushed, editing or even proofreading forgotten.
