The only problem I had with the book was it came dinged up. It doesn't appear to have been damage when it was shipped from FGG, but when it was shipped to FGG. On the back cover mine has a big gouge and two corners of the front cover are bent slightly. I'm not really too fussy about the condition of my books, but if its going to get damage I would like that privilege to do it.
But aside from a few scuffs and dings, this beast of a book is money well spent.
You just have horrible luck for getting dinged up books in the mail don't you?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that the book was damaged, but I'm at least happy that you're enjoying the contents.
ReplyDeleteYou roped me in with a Yeats quote. :) Sorry to hear about your book.
ReplyDeleteI picked up the PDF a while back and have really enjoyed the book. Happy hours of reading and imagining ahead to you!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a recurring problem with some stuff coming to/from FGG. There was quite a big kerfuffle last spring over the release of the S&W Complete rulebook (http://swordsandwizardry.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=3269).
ReplyDeleteI admire your for not being pissed at a 100$ book coming up all dinged up. But then that probably means that you really intend to use it (at the table) instead of keeping it safe forever in a book case. Thumbs up for that!
Mine came with one bent corner and hundreds of awesome monsters, too. :)
