I'm participating in +Erik Tenkar 's 12 Days of OSR Christmas. The first giveaway is a print copy of Starter Adventures. A good place to start new players and even GMs. Lots of small adventures and situations to help teach the game. In addition there is a fully developed tavern and when your new players can tell a d8 from a d12 you can graduate them to the full adventure in the back.
To enter, please comment and tell me what you would like for Christmas. And you don't even have to sit on my lap. I just grossed myself out a little. Comment, present, enter. This is the first of three giveaways I have planned.
I would like a copy of Starter Adventures for Christmas. I wanted a Red Rider BB gun but they said I would shoot my eye out so here I am.
ReplyDeleteI want a hippopotamus for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAn iPad Pro would be nice but I'll settle for a +3 Backscratcher.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm... world peace? :)
ReplyDeleteI want a new drug
ReplyDeleteOne that won't hurt my head
One that won't make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red
A utility kilt.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for scooby Doo legos
ReplyDeleteNew cordless drill. I'd really need one. Makita would be nice.
ReplyDeleteJust safe travels me.
ReplyDeleteA box of OSR RPG books. Fortunately for me, I have 3 currently in transit all delivering before Christmas. :D
ReplyDeleteNew wet erase markers for my battlemat. Merry OSR Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping Odin will leave a new watch under my Yule tree. Alas, I am too lazy to ever change a battery in a watch so when the battery goes I need a new watch.
ReplyDeleteI would indeed like a copy of starter adventures for Christmas so I can in turn gift it to a young boy that wants to start playing games to escape from his wheelchair for a few hours with his brothers!
ReplyDeleteAll I want for Christmas is necromancer powers so I can bring Gary Gygax back as a Demi Lich.
ReplyDeleteA pile of board games and RPGs. And someone who can handle my rigorous play schedule. My poor wife can only handle so many hours of gaming a week.
ReplyDeleteI don't want much for Christmas. Just an indestructible statue of Mike Oldfield on the surface of the sun. Barring Oldfield, Jimmy Page will work. If neither of these options are possible, I will gladly take a copy of Starter Adventures (I've been meaning to pick it up since it was released.)
ReplyDeleteA week of rest and time to read some RPG goodness. And perhaps a copy of Starter Adventures... Thanks for partaking in 12 days!
ReplyDeleteI would like to no longer be trapped in an airtight chamber. Oxygen.. dwindling. Must.. find.. a way...
ReplyDeleteI would like more dice!
ReplyDeleteI would love a copy of this book, but should I come up the winner, please send it to Mick Red. Handing books to kids is a very worthy cause.
ReplyDeleteI would like a new brain; my isn't working that well.
ReplyDeleteI would like a higher paying job for Christmas (or at least a second job at dospace.org)
ReplyDeleteOther than that, I'd like perfect bound copies of anything OSR.
I would like my family to be in good health so we can celebrate together without worry of discomfort.
ReplyDeleteI would like comfortable shoes.
ReplyDeleteA "do-over"!
ReplyDeleteI would like more osr roleplaying games and dice for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMe, I want a new Carhartt coat. It gets cold this time of year, and I suspect that stiff-ass 12oz cotton duck might provide a point of AC on my travels. (Should I win, please send it to Mick Red; if we don't raise the next generation of gamers, we'll all end up playing in the community room of the Old School Old Folks' Home!)
More clamps. You can never have too many clamps.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a White Christmas... and hugs from my family.
ReplyDeleteA 1973 Detomaso Pantera, but I'm not demanding. A Chromebook for streaming music and reading game material will do.
ReplyDeleteI would like some new reading material for my gaming table.
ReplyDeleteWhat I want for Christmas? Just for my going-on-three-year-old to have an awesome one!
ReplyDeleteI would love print copies of many of the fine pdfs I have purchased, including starter adventures
ReplyDeleteI'd love a new addition to my RPG library...but, I'll settle for beer.
ReplyDeleteI'd love some OSR goodies for Christmas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the copies of the Manor I bought, this is something I will buy even if I do not win. I am confident of winning though :)
ReplyDeleteI want sleep, and some new adventures for Xmas
ReplyDeleteI would like for Christmas some relaxing time with family. Oh, and an Xbox One.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to have more tools for new players.
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Solstice.
Adventure Time on DVD. I forgot to ask for it...
ReplyDeleteLast year I asked Santa for world peace, didn't get it. This year I just want gaming stuff
ReplyDeleteI'm just hoping for some peace and good cheer.
ReplyDeleteI wish for all the RPG goodies that I just know my wife won't get for me!
ReplyDeleteMore time for gaming!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I'd like a vorpal sword (if and only if any problem could be reduced to a vorpal-sword-solving problem).
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I'd like a small slice of Tim's creativity, imagination and map making skills!
ReplyDeleteGreat thread. I have to say I would love some Scooby Doo legos like Taylor. That would be spiffy.
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I'd love a new dwarven axe, an ever-full tankard and some really cool new adventures to run in my new gaming tavern. Oh...and swag, lots of it. What girl wouldn't want swag?
ReplyDeleteAs the father of 3 children, I'd like a clean and quiet house for Christmas. That isn't coming anytime soon, but boy oh boy do I want it!
ReplyDeleteAll I want for Christmas is my two front teeth... er... make that the two front teeth of my enemies, strung on a garland around the tree as a warning that I take my holidays seriously :)
ReplyDeleteTime for RPGs, movies, and books.
ReplyDeleteWhat I always want...time to sit back and read in a quiet house.
ReplyDeleteI would like the holidays to be over -- and some nice gaming material.
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing for a stocking of holding this year. One that I may hang with care and proves resilient to mice and double dipping elders.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for some great new gaming supplies this year, maybe some new (to me) Doctor Who fanzines, artisan dice, and a new external hard drive.
ReplyDeleteMostly a time machine. Everything else kind of relies on the time machine.
ReplyDeleteI would like more time to read. And play.
ReplyDeleteI would like some awesome new roleplaying adventures to read and play.
ReplyDeleteAn envelope with a note inside that let's me know in writing that the company I'm courting for a new job is ready to bring me on board.
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas, all I really want is a castle.
ReplyDeleteFor my tabletop, that is ;) The one I want is too expensive, and comes up rarely enough on evilBay, so chances are my sons (almost 6 and 9-3/4s) and I will be building one out of hot chocolate containers, air dry clay, and paint over the Christmas holidays. Then they can lay siege to it, and explore the dungeons beneath for treasure ;)
I'd love Starter Adventures in print, as I already bought the PDF for encounters & ideas for gaming with the boys!
