Wow, its has been forever since I have given out the fall knight of Newbie Bloggers, but I thought this would be as good a time as any.

This Newbie Blogger Award goes to Edgar's Game Blog!

Edgar has been very active on Google+ and I hadn't realized his blog hadn't been around for a while.  I'd thought he'd been around for a couple years.  He does some kick ass game reports.  He's a monster at developing stuff for the DCC system.  And he actually plays the games he talks about.  Please check out his blog and throw your support behind another old school blogger who is already putting out some great stuff.

I had to dust this award off.  Somewhere in the mix it got shoved back into a closet.  I thought it was time to give another Newbie Blogger Award away.

I've been reading this blog for a short time on a regular basis and have enjoyed.  He's developing his own RPG, Phoenix (a dangerous virus that strikes many of us), and has several posts about the process.  He's got some very entertaining takes on some gaming rules, one of my favorites is Don't Be a Dick.  And not least of which he's got spectacular taste in nurses.

9-16-11 Nebie Blogger Award Winner

It's been a while since I've given one away and not for the lack of great blogs just the simple fact that I've been trying to write a bit more, work has been busy and two new puppies have invaded the household.  But I came across this blog and thought it deserved some recognition.  An old school blogger with a GURPS 4E tilt that I can appreciate.  And from the author notes has co-written several GURPS products.  There are several interesting links.

Newbie Blogger Award 7-26-11

The knight has fallen again so its time to announce the Newbie Blogger Award winner.  I have been enjoying this blog for the past month.  Already 32 posts in July and only started in June.  If you like GURPS check this blog out.  That seems to be the system of preference and one of the few blogs I see that focus on GURPS.  But there is plenty of geek interest to go around, from super hero figures to Hobbit updates and more GURPS.  So this here Newbie Blogger Award goes to ...................

Newbie Blogger Award 7-7-11

It's that time again.  Someone has really out done themselves to get this award this time.  It was getting a little dusty anyway.  This new blog is very young, really at this time only has one entry, but I know it will be good.  It may even be great.  It already has more followers than me with one post.  Amazing.  So this Newbie Blogger Award goes to....

Despite what everyone may believe Christian sacrificed his entire backlog of posts to get this award.  What dedication, what determination, what madness would make a man do that?  This award goes to Christian without hesitation, raising the bar for all other newbies who wish to earn the fallen knight.  Congrats Christian and welcome back!

5-31-11 Newbie Blogger Award

It's time again for another very well deserved blog to get the fallen knight award.  Now my next selection may be a bit bias, but that's okay I'm allowed.  And not to mention I just wrote about them.  The blog is a pair of artists who have graced the pages of multiple issues of Knockspell and Fight On!, Swords and Wizardry Core Rulebook, Surge of the Dark Wine Sea, to be released adventure Scourge of the Demon Wolf and they are helping make my Starter Adventures better.

Underworld Ink
 is the home of artists John Larrey and Jason Sholtis.  I've had the pleasure of gaming with both these guys and it was a hell of a lot of fun.  They are excited about gaming and it shows in their pictures.  So please take a stroll over to Underground Ink and check out the gallery of pictures they have on display.  Great work guys.  I look forward to seeing more pictures.

5-15-11 Newbie Blogger Award

Time for another Newbie Blogger Award winner!  It's been a while since I've given one away.  But I found another very worthy addition to the group.  This blog has a little bit of everything and it's only been around since April.  He's got stuff about Fudge Dice, which has me convinced I should get some, discusses his conflicts on magic and has a couple interesting entries about combat.  Not to mention his sketches of Ravenloft and the stylish and useful High Heels of Resistance.

4-15-11 Newbie Blogger Award

I found this blog recently and think its interesting.  He started out playing 4th edition, but went back to 3.5, but after reading his blog posts he seems to have a OSR mentality.  Most of his selected blog sites he follows are old school themed.  He's into Fantasy Grounds which is cool since it is the main program my group uses to play over the internet.  The winner of the Newbie Blogger Award goes out to Christian Kolbe of The XP Experience.  So please, check out his site.  If you like it let him know the eyes of the OSR have fallen upon him! *place ominous music here*  Well done Christian.  Here's to many more years to blogging.

3-31-11 Newbie Blogger Award

Sometimes its tough to decide which blog to give this to each week.  There are so many great blogs out there.  As I always listen to suggestions from others, Whisk thought this next winner deserved to win.  I think so to.  This site is dedicated to fantastic miniatures (no not you Lurker, you're no newbie) and comments a ton on other blogs.  So the winner is.....

Bard is a self proclaimed grown up and fantasy gamer.  He has a lot of great settings and critters.  It is very dangerous for me to keep going to these miniature sites because it makes me want to get back into it.  Anyway, the drill is, go check out his blog.  Bard is a top notched guy and you'll love his blog so start following.

3-25-11 Newbie Blogger Award

It's time again for the Newbie Blogger Award. And it's going to be a 3peat for the blogs down under. This week's award goes to Ragnardbard, keeper of the Vaults of the Mad Archmage.

In his first blog he starts off with a bang discussing what he would like to accomplish, self-publishing some OSR goodness.  He lays out a plan of what he intends to do. And, check out his mapping skills with his Regional Dungeon Entrances.  You don't see a lot of colored maps these days and the best part I like, they are hand drawn.

I know Ragnardbard is going to be a great contributor to the OSR.  I think Australia may have to host the first OSR worldwide convention.

3-17-11 Newbie Blogger Award

Now this guy has only been blogging for a month and has nearly 70 followers.  He's on the fast track to stardom.  He's got a lot of stuff to say about the OSR, a 6 part blog post called The OSR is Dead.  Read it.  It's very good.  Plus he wrote a flattering blog about my wife, Whisk, which almost made him a sure thing for the award.  I told you when I first started this award, I can be bought.  Seriously though, he's got opinions.  Interesting opinions.  Not those verbal masturbatory opinions.  The blog I am talking about is There's Dungeons Down Under hosted by austrodavicus.  Okay readers, you know what to do, go check out and join his blog.

3-9-11 Newbie Blogger Award

It's that time again.  Young little bloggers scurrying around wanting attention.  I've looked around and chose another excellent blog.  Again, I thought this blog had been around longer than it had.  I am speak of none other than The Jovial Priest.  He wrote a great blog about a silver based economy.  I completely agree with this and my world uses this.  And he is very active with comments and has a lot of great ideas.  So again, as always, please check out The Joval Priest and consider yourself blessed.
