Friday Question: Con Question 2

With GenCon concluded what cons are you planning to attend, if any?

I'm considering going to two.

Erie Days of Gaming (or EDOG), is in Erie on October 4th and 5th.  I usually go up on Saturday.  There are very few to zero vendors there.  It's main focus is on board games, but each year we manage to get in some old school gaming.

Con on the Cob, is one I've never been to.  Located about 2 hours from me in Hudson, OH.  It runs October 17th through the 20th.  This one looks to have an interesting mix of activities, including a fairly strong showing of some old school games.  I will go n the Saturday and if I can find enough interesting things, I may go on Friday.

  1. Sort of posted this in the previous thread, but I intend on attending GASP Con in Pittsburgh (November 8-10 -- http://v1.warhorn.net/gaspcon-xiv/). Plenty of Old School stuff there including a LL game running for 4 consecutive slots, S&W, DCC, FASERIP Marvel, Mutant Future, CoC, and hopefully some C&C and Crypts & Things.

GaryCon, whenever they announce the dates.
    NTRPGCon, next July.
    Hopefully GenCon.

  2. I been to GaspCon it is a good con. Overall it is similar to Erie Days of Gaming but with a larger crowd, more vendors, and a larger venue.

  4. For the remainder of 2013?

The only definite is that I'll be going to DragonCon (dragoncon.org) on Labor Day weekend. Gaming is a small part of the convention, but there are still a lot of opportunities to play (I'm pre-reg'd for 3 rpg sessions and plan to get into at least one miniatures game demo). There's also a ton of other things to do, so being bored isn't an option.
