New Toy

Went to buy a frame for the gorgeous map I got from +Zach Glazar from his Whisper & Venom boxset.  The frame was going to cost $360...and that was with a 65% coupon!  So I passed.  I'll Home Depot the shit out of a frame before I drop that kind of money.  Think of how much gaming stuff I could buy with that.  A little sticker shocked by the framing, I wandered around AC Moores saw they had Micron pan for sale, but had enough of those for now.  Then I saw this architectural stencil.  I had no choice to buy it.  It was $8 normally, but I had a 55% coupon.  This thing will save me a ton of time when I make villages and towns.  Looking forward to test driving this thing.

The Offical Stamp of Approval

Last weekend, in between crashing my computer and causing electronic mayhem in general, I got a catalog from Staple with a few deals on office stuff.  One deal was for a stamper I could customize.  Not one to pass up on getting something unnecessary I messed around with the program and go a cool stamper for GM Games.

I think its pretty kick ass even though all it does is place an address on an envelope.  But now I am a legit business because this stamper makes me official.  So the next time you get an issue of The Manor, not only will you be getting the creepy butterfly but the official stamp of approval.

Anyone who is geeky as me here is the link to Staples to customize your own cool stamper.  The ladies love them.

My Newest Toy

It is a custom at the manor for wife and husband to exchange gifts.  Whisk being wife, I being the husband.  This year she got me a NookColor.  I've been thinking about getting a reader for a while now.  I'm always late to the technological party because...probably because I am the guy who would buy the 8-track player, the beta recorder or the HD home theater.  So I find it best to lay back for a while and let things get sorted out then buy.

Right away I took a liking to it.  I did have to battle with the wireless in my own home.  The first night we were driving around at 12am trying to find an open feed.  It was amusing what information you can find driving around reading all the names of the wireless feeds.  After bouncing a few stores leeching off their signals, we ended up in McDonalds parking lot and I was finally able to register my Nook.  Rob (Mr. Bat in the Attic) helped me figure out the wireless problem I was having at home.

One of the reason I went with the NookColor was it already had a PDF reader.  The less I need to fiddle with this stuff the better.  Plus the screen looks amazing.  We go to Barnes a lot and you can look at books on it and do all this other stuff I haven't played with yet.  Although I did read some blogs on it.

Off I go with a parting picture of my new toy.

Proof of Alien Life

They are out there you know.  You have to believe.  So much space, it would be ridiculous to think we were the only ones.  I cannot argue the fact that it seems strange that the aliens are able to navigate across the universe only to crash into the earth, but they do seem to do that lot.  Maybe its all the radios, microwaves and cell phones.  Of course we didn't have that stuff when Roswell happened.  Hmmm, yeah we didn't have it til after cause we got it from the aliens!

And I have proof.  Look at this.  So what I found it at a pet store in the fish aquarium section.  It's really real.  There is a big hole in the back of his head where someone must have hit him with a pipe.  Look at those orbital sockets and extended nose.  If that's not an alien than red isn't a color and water isn't wet.

And I swear it glowed a little in the dark.

Don't talk to me about tin foil hats, Illuminati, diet pop, or sleestak.   This is really real.  They are out there.  They are here.  I've got the proof sitting on my desk right now.

New Toys

Yesterday Ivy went to get Wiggy food at our local tractor supply store.  Yes, we live in rural Pennsylvania and we actually have two tractor supplies in town.  *Insert cow tipping joke here*  Anyway, while she was dog food shopping she bought me these very cool toys.

Just some goofiness on a Friday night.  I have a very great wife who allows me to play when I need to play.
