I've been drawing a lot of my little maps lately. I've got a stack of them of varying degrees goodness and not so goodness. I selected four of them for you guys to vote on (I'm going to use one of them there fancy voting thangs on the side). Vote for one, and if you put a comment, I might pick you to get one of my little laminated creations. So my Friday question to you is, which map should I develop? I'll keep the poll up until tomorrow night and randomly select from the commentors at that time. I know, Friday just go so much better.

#2 or #3, that hill on the first one is bothering me. I cannot take my eyes off of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing you're talking about the tree that is half buried under the trees. I guess I was trying to show the contour lines and show that half of the hill is under the trees, but I'm not a huge fan of the way it turned out.
DeleteI think map 2 is neat. I like the swamp and the little paths through the trees to higher elevation. It makes me want to hike up there to see what's tucked away at the top of the hill.
ReplyDeleteThis was exactly my thoughts. I always prefer outdoor adventures, so this would be something I would be more interested in exploring.
DeleteI voted for four. Duh.
ReplyDeleteThat's because of the lake and the new swim suit you bought . . . typical woman! (Shakes head)
DeleteThese maps are for ADVENTURING, not "settling down!" Tsk!
(I still get a cinnamon roll, right?) LOL
It's a hard choice, but I'd say 1.
ReplyDeleteThen you should join me in voting for it over there at the top of the right hand column. :)
DeleteI was quite torn between 3 and 4, but you can never have enough villages to place somewhere... so 3.
ReplyDeleteBut the counter didn't go up for three...
the gnome is all in for number 4--looks like a diving board!
ReplyDelete#2 for me - is the stepped hill natural or something similar to an Iron Age hill fort. Who built it? Why did they build it - who or what were they defending against? Lots of questions and possibilities.
ReplyDelete3; smaller scale greater opportunities
ReplyDeleteI like the swamp in map 2.
ReplyDeleteI voted for 4 'cos it looks like a small community that has grown up by the entrance to a "dungeon"/"cave system".
ReplyDeleteI'm very taken by the stone circle in #1. Or are those houses in a circle inside a wall? Regardless. I like how the hill under the trees worked out.
ReplyDeleteTough choice. I picked #1 because of the stone circle (I'm a big fan of the old stone circle).
ReplyDelete#2 - that swamp, must know what lies in the muck and water.
ReplyDelete#1 because I really want to know what's up with that stone circle.
ReplyDeleteI had to vote for #2.
ReplyDeleteWhat? You expected me to pass up a swamp! :O
Lizardmen, Yuan-ti. Black Dragons, Wastri . . . come on!
I voted for #4, and I'm very curious as to whether the cave-dweller is a friend of the village (which is my guess, given the width of the path which tells me there's a lot of traffic there) or a recent arrival bent on it's destruction!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2. I like the swamp detail.
ReplyDeleteI too am liking the swamp - it seems like the rivulets could make for some fun tactics.
ReplyDeleteMy wife likes 1 or 4, she said she does not like 3 at all.
ReplyDeleteI voted 1. I want to know more about the circle.
ReplyDelete#2 - I like the marshland with the rivers. Cool idea, I may have to try index cards.
ReplyDelete#2 - I like the marshland with the rivers. Cool idea, I may have to try index cards.
ReplyDeleteSTFU and develop them all!
ReplyDeleteIn the mean while, GTFO with your laminated creations.
WTF? They all look good. Get drawing!
I'm liking #2 - it has the most "built-in" adventure potential with the ruined building, the swamp, and other geographical features.
