1 of 3 Christmas Giveaways

I'm participating in +Erik Tenkar 's 12 Days of OSR Christmas.  The first giveaway is a print copy of Starter Adventures.  A good place to start new players and even GMs.  Lots of small adventures and situations to help teach the game.  In addition there is a fully developed tavern and when your new players can tell a d8 from a d12 you can graduate them to the full adventure in the back.

To enter, please comment and tell me what you would like for Christmas.  And you don't even have to sit on my lap.  I just grossed myself out a little.  Comment, present, enter.  This is the first of three giveaways I have planned.

  1. I would like a copy of Starter Adventures for Christmas. I wanted a Red Rider BB gun but they said I would shoot my eye out so here I am.

  4. I want a new drug
One that won't hurt my head
One that won't make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red

  5. New cordless drill. I'd really need one. Makita would be nice.

  6. A box of OSR RPG books. Fortunately for me, I have 3 currently in transit all delivering before Christmas. :D

  7. New wet erase markers for my battlemat. Merry OSR Christmas!

  8. I'm hoping Odin will leave a new watch under my Yule tree. Alas, I am too lazy to ever change a battery in a watch so when the battery goes I need a new watch.

  9. I would indeed like a copy of starter adventures for Christmas so I can in turn gift it to a young boy that wants to start playing games to escape from his wheelchair for a few hours with his brothers!

  10. All I want for Christmas is necromancer powers so I can bring Gary Gygax back as a Demi Lich.

  11. A pile of board games and RPGs. And someone who can handle my rigorous play schedule. My poor wife can only handle so many hours of gaming a week.

  12. I don't want much for Christmas. Just an indestructible statue of Mike Oldfield on the surface of the sun. Barring Oldfield, Jimmy Page will work. If neither of these options are possible, I will gladly take a copy of Starter Adventures (I've been meaning to pick it up since it was released.)

  15. I would love a copy of this book, but should I come up the winner, please send it to Mick Red. Handing books to kids is a very worthy cause.

  20. Merry Christmas!

Me, I want a new Carhartt coat. It gets cold this time of year, and I suspect that stiff-ass 12oz cotton duck might provide a point of AC on my travels. (Should I win, please send it to Mick Red; if we don't raise the next generation of gamers, we'll all end up playing in the community room of the Old School Old Folks' Home!)

  25. What I want for Christmas? Just for my going-on-three-year-old to have an awesome one!

    ReplyDelete
  38. For Christmas I'd like a small slice of Tim's creativity, imagination and map making skills!

    ReplyDelete

  40. For Christmas I'd love a new dwarven axe, an ever-full tankard and some really cool new adventures to run in my new gaming tavern. Oh...and swag, lots of it. What girl wouldn't want swag?

  41. As the father of 3 children, I'd like a clean and quiet house for Christmas. That isn't coming anytime soon, but boy oh boy do I want it!

    ReplyDelete
  42. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth... er... make that the two front teeth of my enemies, strung on a garland around the tree as a warning that I take my holidays seriously :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Time for RPGs, movies, and books.

    ReplyDelete
  44. What I always want...time to sit back and read in a quiet house.

    ReplyDelete

  46. I'm wishing for a stocking of holding this year. One that I may hang with care and proves resilient to mice and double dipping elders.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm hoping for some great new gaming supplies this year, maybe some new (to me) Doctor Who fanzines, artisan dice, and a new external hard drive.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mostly a time machine. Everything else kind of relies on the time machine.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I would like more time to read. And play.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I would like some awesome new roleplaying adventures to read and play.

    ReplyDelete
  51. An envelope with a note inside that let's me know in writing that the company I'm courting for a new job is ready to bring me on board.

    ReplyDelete
  52. For Christmas, all I really want is a castle.
For my tabletop, that is ;) The one I want is too expensive, and comes up rarely enough on evilBay, so chances are my sons (almost 6 and 9-3/4s) and I will be building one out of hot chocolate containers, air dry clay, and paint over the Christmas holidays. Then they can lay siege to it, and explore the dungeons beneath for treasure ;)
I'd love Starter Adventures in print, as I already bought the PDF for encounters & ideas for gaming with the boys!
