After some feedback and my own dissatisfaction with the original cover I went with white lettering with backed by black to make the title pop out more.  Easier to read.  I changed my GM Games label.  Although it is nearly the same in both I had my black square with red lettering. 

Micro-Adventures Anthology Vol. 1 is being sliced up by cruel and vicious readers.  I want them to take their time to saw off the nasty bits.  When I get those back I'll send it off to RPGNow and Lulu to get print proofs.  This will be a digest size book.  I'll offer it in print and PDF through those stores.  I'll have to look at Tabletop Games and see what I need to do there also.  Hoping for a May release, but more likely June.

WiP Cover for Micro-Adventure Anthology: Possible Giveaway

I've been tinkering with assembling an anthology of my micro-adventures.  I sent away a copy an editor to clean up most of my messes.  Tonight I was trying to figure out what the cover would look like and t his is what I came up with.  Overall I like it, but I am not against hearing possible ways to improve it.  If your suggestion is used I'll send you a copy of it once I get it finalized.

Cover I've Been Messing With

Here is the cover I've been working on for another project.  It's supposed to be sepia in color.  The picture isn't all that great and scanning it in screwed it all up.  I like how it has turned out.

 Here's what it looks like on the inside. 

I've already have the first section written.  I wrote this while power watching Game of Thrones, 3rd Season.  Yes, I know I am behind and I've finally saw the Red Wedding.  Anyway, this is what I do when I watch TV.

Issue #6, 2nd Edition

I ran out of red card stock.  So I am going to use a few of the other card stock colors to use them up.  I was perusing some of my DCC stuff and was reminded of all the covers they did.  So I thought what the heck, I'll change it up a little also.  So the next print issues will be released with this glorious cover, another stunner by +Jason Sholtis.  I have no idea what color the cover it will be because I'm using up what I have.  I think she makes a great cover girl.  Oh, don't worry, the halfling is still strutting himself in the zine, he and her swapped pages is all.

Starting late yesterday any orders will get the 2nd edition cover.

+Erik Tenkar is a mini review of The Manor #6.  He called the adventure Witches of the Dark Room.  Apparently these witches are taking horrible pictures.  hehe.  I call it a low level adventure, I can see where he might question that, but The Manor does not suffer cupcakes.

Manor #5 Cover

As promised, here is the cover for issue #5.  Jay Penn did an incredible job.  The things I added were the the framing and instead of having issue #5 with the header I dropped it on the door like an apartment number.  I'm not sure if I will keep it that way, but I thought is was amusing and it didn't bother Jay's incredible cover art. 

I gave Jay this picture.

I asked Jay if he could make me a dungeon door like the one above, but with a creepy arm sticking out from behind it.  He did that and more. 

Tonight I'll make a button up for issue #5 for those who want to pre order and it will help me figure out how many I need to print.  The physical stats of issue #5 are, its 24 pages, card stock cover, I'll be using 20 pound paper, but that might increase to the 24 pound paper because I like it better.  And of course everything is done in my own home, printing, staple and fold right here.  I get my assembly line going.  I've also learned the value of setting my print from normal to fine.  Makes the art and the wording crisp.  It eats up more ink and more time (I estimate it takes me 1 minute to print out a zine on normal and it takes about 10 minutes on fine, so printing out 10 zine goes from 10 minutes to an hour and a half, but I think I'll time it next time I print to get accurate numbers).  It is well worth it.

The Manor Issue #4 Cover

Here's the cover for issue #4.  A friend of mine at work drew it for me.  I think it looks great.  Can you guess the creature?  Shame on you if you can't.  And like always I try to feature an OSR gaming product on the back and could think of nothing better than to give Matt Jackson's, Moleskin Maps the back cover.  

You notice the yellow spots.  That's my printing being a pain in the ass.  I haven't been able to fully resolve the solution.  I'm hoping by the time I get the issue complete the yellow ink won't be a problem.  Proofreaders, be warned, I'll be coming for you soon.
